Rosemount Mayor Bill Droste described the community’s high quality of life and explained how the City will work to improve it even more during his 2019 State of the City message.

“We are aggressively working with developers to bring more retail to Rosemount. We continue to draw on the expertise of our consultants to plan a new community facility, and we expected to make decisions about it in the next few months,” the Mayor said. He delivered his remarks this morning to members of the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Video of the Mayor's remarks is now available online and can also be seen on cable television government access channels.

The Mayor reported on the City’s growth and the accomplishments of City staff, volunteers, and groups outside government. He predicted that last year’s strong growth in housing developments will continue this year. The pace may increase after that as the land at UMore Park is developed.

The Mayor was introduced by U.S. Rep. Angie Craig. The program was hosted by Chamber President Maureen Scallen Failor.
