Whenever possible, try to reuse household items. Many charities and nonprofit organizations accept clothing, furniture, and household items in good condition. Among the many charitable organizations listed in the Dakota County Recycling and Disposal Guide are Dakota Woodlands, Disabled American Veterans, Goodwill, and Salvation Army. The telephone numbers and addresses for these and many other organizations are available in the guide.
It is suggested that anyone wishing to make a donation to any of these organizations call first for hours and items accepted.
Note: The Dakota County Recycling and Disposal Guide is maintained and updated by the Dakota County Department of Environmental Management. The Recycling and Disposal Guide is among the best sources for information and answers to waste reduction, recycling, and disposal questions. For more information about recycling, reducing, and reusing, contact the Rosemount recycling coordinator at (651) 322-6005.
