Routine maintenance of our water supply system is ongoing throughout the summer. Aside from hydrant flushing, crews also inspect and operate water valves to ensure proper functioning. These activities can stir up deposits in the water main, causing discolored (rusty) water in your home. If you experience this, run your taps for several minutes until the water runs clear again.
