The Domestic Abuse Response Team, or known as DART, is an extension of the Rosemount Police Department's active approach to supporting victims of domestic abuse, while holding offenders accountable.
DART Officers assist the initial responding Officers and re-contact victims of domestic assaults even if no arrest was made to provide support and resources. DART Officers offer safety assessments, individual safety planning, and ensure a thorough investigation is completed. The Rosemount Police Department partners with the courts, the probation system, advocacy groups, and 360 Communities, which operates Lewis House - a safe haven for women and children.
The goal of DART's collaborative systemic approach is to provide long-term solutions to end the cycle of violence.
