Common Code Violations
The City regulates the location and storage of firewood. The regulations are to reduce their attraction for rodents and other vermin and also so its location does not negatively affect neighbors.
Firewood must be stacked in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
Firewood may not be stored in the front yard or less than 5 feet from a lot line.
Woodpiles must be elevated 4 inches off the ground, or stacked on a hard surface.
Woodpiles may not be stacked more than 6 feet in height.
